What’s happening in January

Spring flowers

So here we are already over half way through the first month of the year. How quickly January is passing by. Quite a mixture of weather too, so I hope you’ve all stayed safe. Have you noticed how the evenings are starting to get a little lighter? Spurts of green poking up through the ground looking to grow into spring flowers.

It’s been a mixed month of planning and creating flower designs. My diary is filling up fast with wedding dates. This year sees me returning to venues as well as visiting new venues. I’m looking forward to visiting the Knightor Winery; Boconnoc; Trudwell Manor; St Ives Harbour Hotel & Spa; Pendennis Castle; Trenance Lodge; Lusty Glaze and Polhawn Fort. Some of these more than once and some I’ve probably forgot to mention.

It’s also been a time where we have to say farewell to loved ones. Myself included, losing a long standing friend taken unexpectedly at the beginning of the month. Losing loved ones is such an emotional time for all of us. For one family I have been able to design a biodegradable tribute planted with bulbs. This will be planted in the family garden and when the bulbs flower memories of the good times will be recalled.

If you are looking for wedding flowers I will be attending the Art of Weddings show on Sunday 28th January at Wadebridge Pavilion. Please stop by and have a chat.
