Winter Weddings, Christmas and New Year

Christmas Wreath with pine cones; berries & fruit

Well here we are on New Years Eve already. Where has December gone? I hope you had a lovely Christmas and enjoy tonight’s celebrations wherever you are in the world.

The first of December saw a Winter wedding at the Old Quay House in Fowey. It was a lovely sunny day but slightly chilly. Nicki & Greg had a small, family intimate wedding day. Nicky had a hand tied wedding bouquet with a Christmas feel to it. A big Thank You to photographer Tracey Warbey for the photographs.

The run up to Christmas Day was busy. Lots of Christmas wreaths and for those of us unfortunate not to have loved ones with had memorial designs. Wedding consultations too, meeting brides and grooms to be and designing wedding flowers. At one of the local churches I displayed a Christmas tree decorated with photos of my work. However, I had the three main days off and spent it with family loving every minute of quality time with them.

Then it was back to work after Boxing Day with preparations for the last wedding of the year. This winter wedding was at the Alverton Hotel, Truro. Sophie & Bugs had a very large wedding, and here I also say Thank You to my team. Sophie chose a shower bouquet, the bridesmaids had hand tied bouquets and the flower girls had small gold metal baskets. The photos will follow in the New Year.

Wedding dates are filling up fast for 2018. I will be delivering wedding flowers and designs to lots of beautiful venues in Cornwall. If you are still looking for your wedding flowers come and have a chat to me at the Art of Weddings, Wedding Fayre on January 28th at Wadebridge Pavilion.

So for now, enjoy the celebrations and a Happy, Healthy New Year to you all.
