Excited To Share This News

So here we are on Halloween eve already. How quickly October has passed by. So for those of you who have not seen or heard about my exciting news: when at Fleurex during the gala dinner I was presented with my certificate for the becoming a British Master Florist. This is such a prestigious title to be given, along with initials to use after my name M.D.P.F.

The photo that I have used for this blog is of myself; Amanda Winsor and Victoria Lawrence-Turner. Amanda and Victoria are two florists that I met when I first started training at the Academy of Floral Art. Since meeting, and over the years we have become extremely good friends and had a fascinating floral flower journey during our studies. We have had some wonderful ‘road trips’ to various floral events; attended masterclasses with some of Europe’s top Master Florist’s; had emotional tears at various times, but best of all tears of laughter. It maybe the end of one such floral journey, but its not the end for flower fun and friendship.

This photo was taken after the presentation of our certificates by the B.F.A (British Florist Association). Victoria was presented with the cup and flowers too. This was because Victoria had the highest  scoring marks in the theory paper that we sat.

The wedding season has slowed now, so I will have time to upload wedding photos that brides and grooms have given me. This will enable you to see what bridal bouquets and other wedding designs I have been creating.

Although I do not have any weddings to design flowers for this month, I am extremely busy with wedding consultations and dates are filling up very fast for next year. I am looking forward to returning to some venues too.

That’s all for this blog, is Happy Halloween. Stay safe and enjoy

Really can’t believe that October is here already. The month has started with some of my wedding bouquets being featured in Pure Weddings Magazine with Cornwall Life. Copies came out on the shelves ready to buy at the beginning of October. This is from the shoot that took place back in July with a very talented team of Cornwall’s wedding suppliers. I have made an album on my Facebook page if you would like to see all of the photos; unless of course you have purchased a copy of the magazine.

Although key dates for weddings next year are getting booked up already. I have attended the wedding fayre at the Alverton Hotel, Truro and the wedding open day at the Headland Hotel, Newquay. Two very beautiful wedding venues. I still have two weddings left to deliver to the Alverton Hotel this year. One later in October and my last wedding for this year will be there on 29th December.

This weekend see me off to Fleurex which is a big BFA (British Florist Association) event being held for two day at the NEC. I do have some really love to news to tell all of my readers, but I will make the announcement after this weekend. Therefore I will leave this blog quite short.
